Fox 75th Anniversary Sets at Target

Carlos went to Target some weeks back and saw that they were carrying several DVD boxed sets at $9.99. These were 75th Anniversary 20th Century Fox Studio Classics sets. A great deal. You get 4 movies for $10.00. That's only $2.50 a movie. And it's much less expensive than investing in a larger boxed set with many more movies. These make great gifts! We got the following:

(Click on the image to go to the page for the item for more information. However, these DVD sets are only available in Target stores.)

and here are some others of note:

Full Disclosure: Carlos found these at Target and we purchased two.
Also, don't bother with the poster codes. Fox either run out of posters or the codes don't work.

  1. Darn it! There is no target website for Ireland/the UK/Europe-and all those boxed sets look brilliant! Argh!

  2. Ooh, I love these sets! They're such a great bargain. I have the Letter to Three Wives/Affair to Remember/Leave Her to Heaven/Peyton Place set and one with The French Connection, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and The Hustler.

  3. This is fantastic! It's about time Fox started putting out some of there titles this way. And you are so right about being great gift ideas. I'm so putting some of these on my wish list :) And at that price it makes for an affordable gift.

  4. Now I wish our nearest Target wasn't 30 miles away! :-( Of course, I question that it is 20th Century Fox's 75th year...I mean, William Fox founded Fox Film Corporation in 1915! 1925 was just the year of the merger with 20th Century Pictures!

  5. You're missing the COMMANDO/THE MARINE two-for, Quelle. ;)

  6. Niamhy - Sowwy

Angela - Cool! I like the sound of that second one. Might have to pick it up.

Robby - Cool! Affordable gift and intro to great classic films, plus plus!

Mercurie - I totally don't get the anniversary thing but whatevs. It's not for me to understand I guess. :-/

Paul - Well I didn't forget. This is only a small collection of ones I liked. :-P Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Hi hun!
    Glad I've found you....
I wrote a post a last week asking for suggestions of old movies...
Shame I can't order it from UK :(
I'm off to have a wander through your archives to cheer me on this this deary grey Sunday morning!
Do pop by and say hello if you have mins hunny...

    Karen x x x

  8. Wow--those are actually great flicks. They're starting to get the hang of these boxsets!

  9. So cool! My sister is a huge Anna Karenina and Les Miserables fan and my mom loves Jimmy Stewart. Wahoo! Great easy gifts! Thanks for the heads up!

Leave me a comment! If it is a long one, make sure you save a draft of it elsewhere just in case Google gobbles it up and spits it out.
