Malden and Greenburg met at the Chicago's Goodman Theater where they were both scholarship students. They had one of the longest marriages in film history!
How about Joel McCrea and Frances Dee? Joel passed away on their 57th wedding anniversary. From 1933 -- http://www.autograph-gallery.co.uk/acatalog/M178_Joel_McCrea___wife_Frances_Dee.html To 1990 -- http://classicfilmscans.blogspot.com/2010/11/frances-dee-and-joel-mccrea.html
I see you featured Jack Lemmon and Felicia Farr. Their daughter is married to Joel McCrea and Frances Dee's son. Both sets of parents are great marriage role models! Wishing you wonderful wedding wishes! Jane
Raquelle, these are nice to see. Good to see some actors/actresses were able to maintain happy marriages. They seem to be the exception though.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely the exception. Even some long marriages were unhappy ones. I tried to collect the best and the longest but they weren't perfect. :-)
DeleteSweet picture, although it's sad to see Malden looking so ancient. His wife looks great, though!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find an earlier picture of them! :-(
DeleteMy grandparents will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary in a few weeks!
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful!

That's a great one! Man I should have made this celebration longer than a month. I'm missing lots of great Hollywood couples.
