Thanks for the heads up! I've read the Nicholas Ray biography and it was an excellent read. There was so much about Ray I didn't know - a very interesting character with a dramatic life. It would be a great buy to get on sale. I'll have to check out some of those other reads.

Thanks for the link, Raquelle, and for the heads up on so many interesting titles! It should be a great fall/Christmas reading season. :)

Best wishes,

The Piper Laurie and James Garner memoirs really interest me, as they do come from the actors themselves. And I must say it will be interesting to see Cary Grant from Dyan Cannon's point of view

Thanks so much for compiling all of these into one post. My Amazon wishlist just got a little longer.

Not sure if you're aware, but Cary Grant: A Life in Pictures is written by Jenny Curtis (jennythenipper) who runs the blog Cinema OCD. Pretty cool!

i'll have to pick up that book on Nick Ray. i read his book "I Was Interrupted" but its not really a bio, more of a rambling, still great but def like to know more of his life overall.

I know you don't do the award thing, but I am acknowledging "Out of the Past" with the Liebster blog award. I'm not requiring anyone to participate. No action required - just congrats on the always excellent posting.

Look like some good ones in the list. I just wrote about the new Glenn Ford bio, too.
