Hi there, I'm trying to find out exactly what the piece of classical (opera?) music is played in a Tavern scene of an old Black and White version of The Phantom of the Opera. I'm not sure if it's the 1929 remake of the 1925 movie or a later version. I just know that for me, this piece of music was quite stirring and I would love to know what it is so I can find it / buy it / listen to it again. I have googled it at length a number of times over the years and it would seem that it may be music from Gounod's opera, 'Faust' but I've not been able to establish this conclusively. I would be really interested to know if anyone out there might know the answer to my question, and really grateful if someone does! :-)
