The movie proves once and for all that Steve McQueen wasn't simply an action star and Tom Bosley wasn't simply a sitcom actor. They both do fantastic jobs in the film.Terence Towles Canotehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18397088843628331615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6155853741712764167.post-21933279842584361762013-01-28T16:41:08.982-05:002013-01-28T16:41:08.982-05:00i'm so glad you both enjoyed it! i agree with ...i'm so glad you both enjoyed it! i agree with you Natalie was subtle and charming and just very "real" in this film...its my all-time favorite performance of hers. and yes oh lordy she never looked more beautiful onscreen imo *sigh* no way on earth can i NOT like McQueen in this or anything else so i am not objective in that area, lol but he is great, such an underrated actor. there is always talk of his "cool" but rarely of his talent! Steve was a gifted and honest performer. he never even seems like hes acting and that's the trick isnt it.
as a strange aside for any honeymooners fans out there, frequent Gleason actor Frank Marth played the male half of the abortion "specialists" and was quite intimidating i thought. a far cry from the racoon lodge and the gotham bus company!
that thing with the cake would NEVER have occured to me, such the consumate baker that i am, lol!

i cant wait to hear what you think of the Wild Party, if for no other reason than it is not nearly as good a film as this one but it IS a curiosity and also historically important for several reasons.Artman2112https://www.blogger.com/profile/03062864368596074661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6155853741712764167.post-31327112154448103602013-01-28T12:37:19.725-05:002013-01-28T12:37:19.725-05:00I really liked this movie as well. McQueen and Wood were both excellent.

It's so surprising to me that this one is still not out on DVD! Hopefully that will be rectified in the months to come.

Best wishes,
LauraLaurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09626109831176745957noreply@blogger.com
