It was also extremely popular to dress up tales from the Bible in "modern day clothes". When the talkies came along the biblical references was much toned down, or so it seems to me. <br />I wonder why?Jonas Nordinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06065342609209811314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6155853741712764167.post-91686341819978028072009-12-17T02:27:06.770-05:002009-12-17T02:27:06.770-05:00Dolores looks very beautiful in this film..Dolores looks very beautiful in this film..submit movie scriptshttp://www.milkandmedia.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6155853741712764167.post-49956261952896950382009-12-16T20:35:27.443-05:002009-12-16T20:35:27.443-05:00I've seen the 1936 film San Francisco, starrin...I've seen the 1936 film San Francisco, starring Gable. And yes, it also has religious overtones, although not as strong as the ones found in the 1927 version. And honestly, I found it not to my taste.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
