It ...This was a very successfull movie at the time. It was Bing Crosby's first film at MGM and the one that made him a movie star. It was actually Marion Davies and Nacio Herb Brown who conviced WR Hearst to cast Crosby. Hearst hated Crosby but finally gave in.
